Both the construction firm employed to re-build the home and I were pleasantly surprised and gratified to see the existing condition. The work was as clean as a whistle. I would like to commend Justin Terry and South River Restoration for their fine job with this claim. On May 2nd we were the victims of a home invasion, wherein our son was severely beaten. There were massive amounts of blood throughout our home and fingerprint dust residue everywhere. It resembled the “Manson Murder” crime scene… it was quite ugly. Our insurance agent, quickly dispatched South River and Justin showed up… he worked diligently to get our house back in order (as best as possible) so that my eighty-six year old father could come back in the house after such a horrible experience the night before. I believe that Justin worked until around 9:00pm that evening to get the blood cleaned up and he came back the next day to finish.
We sincerely appreciate Justin’s kind words and extreme efforts of labor during our terrible time. There was no way that I could have brought my father, nor my husband who had just had major back surgery two days before, home. Justin’s professionalism and compassion were a great comfort to me. My husband and I would like to commend you and your staff for the outstanding service you provided us during our fire restoration. The house fire we had on Mother’s Day, May 8, was very devastating to us. As we were not home when the fire started, we did not know what to expect. One of the most horrible things to experience is to walk into your home and see it ruined by fire and smoke damage. My husband immediately contacted [our insurance company] and help came to us within 30 minutes.
You and your staff came the day after and just took over for us. While we were going through our belongings and crying, you were there to help us feel better. Everyone was very personable, helpful and very efficient. It was hard to not try and pack up belongings, but you assured us that every single item would be well documented, photographed and taken to your warehouse to be cleaned and then go through your ozone room. When you completed the job you presented us with a folder documenting every box with pictures, etc. This folder has been most helpful to us as we try to find various item, although with 500 boxes, it’s impossible to find anything in the storage unit.
We feel like we have made new friends with your company and would highly recommend you to anyone who would need your expertise from any devastating experience. Thank you so much.

I am writing to express my thanks and appreciation for the emergency mitigation conducted by the team from South River Restoration over the past two days.
They responded within two-hours of an emergency call placed on a Sunday evening, and were efficient, effective, professional and pleasant in mitigating further water damage of a major flooding incident in my home. [Our project supervisor] was careful to keep me informed at each step of their intervention, to explain the necessity of certain steps they were taking (such as removing large portions of the ceiling, or setting up large blowers overnight to dry flooded rooms), and was considerate in having on hand supplies needed on short notice, such as boxes for packing and storing our kitchen and other valuables and supplies. In addition, he was able to quickly and efficiently coordinate with the other services required for a quick mitigation and clean-up of our problem, including very professional HVAC services. Not least, his relaxed and professional demeanor made the world of difference to our family during a rather stressful time.

Unfortunately on July 7th, 2007 we experienced a devastating fire. Fortunately, [our insurance company] used South River Restoration Company to remove all contents, clean the dwelling, and to rid the house of smoke stench.
The crew, lead by [field representative] were extremely professional at all times showed empathy and compassion for our disaster. My husband and I were at the house during the clean up and we were always aware of how careful everyone was of our house contents; realizing the emotional, sentimental and value of each piece.
His personality as a true asset to the job, always exhibiting kindness, humor and the tenacity to complete the task. His experience was invaluable and I’m certain made this whole process more bearable. There were many obstacles in the crew’s path, such as no power, no water/septic and no cell phone reception. But the most oppressive was the heat during the first week of clean-up. God bless the entire crew, not once did they complain and always, always they had a smile on their face. I hope the management team truly recognizes the value of the crew workers. This was a very dirty job that reeked of smoke, yet the crew’s professionalism never wavered, nor was the clean-up ever compromised.
We also had interaction with the processor and he was very empathetic to the emotional attachment of our contents and assured us that South River Restoration would do great restoration work.

On February 6, I had an awful experience at home when my pipes burst and flooded my entire finished basement. My husband was out of town and you can just about imagine how upset and devastated I was. It was horrible. Water was coming out of the ceiling downstairs and water, lots of it, was everywhere.
I called my insurance company at around 1:00pm, who in turn called South River Restoration, and I was told someone would be out within a few hours. True to their word, the crew arrived about 3:30pm. He assured me and reassured me again and again that they would handle the situation. I kept offering to help and he told me not to worry and that they would take care of everything. They worked tirelessly, non stop, until they left at about 9:30 that evening. I did order pizzas for them and I was glad to see them eat!

I was frantic and they were very reassuring. I really felt so much better by the time they left. [The field supervisor] was calm and in control which helped alleviate my fears and worry. My basement is still a mess and will be until the contractors finished repairing my ceiling and drywall.
